Tatters
No one noticed his eyes
Sad and out of place
That's not what they paid to see
His pain he could not show
So he painted around his fears!
In order to deceive
His eyes concealed behind
A hug red nose,
It rained cats and dogs
His life now in tatters
His heart tied in knots!
His smile painted on
Holding his trembling lips
As his knees began to buckle
They clapped and clapped
He was a delusional clown
As I was his partner, who only knew that!
