Taste the Wine

Taste the wine.. Wine no longer sweet Taste of bitterness.. Once there was the sweet scent of jasmine.. Now there is an effervescence of musty.. As the air is bland.. Vibrancy lacks.. Golden amber skies no more.. A bleak dark sky arises.. Darkness surrounds.. In the meadows Distant hills and valleys.. A tiny opening forms.. Opening extends.. Radiates light.. An intense brightness.. Nearly blinded by the light.. The light breathes life.. Darkness evaporates.. Love and light flows.. And.. Once again.. Sweet is the wine..

Robertina, How wonderful it once was. And now, how blind are we to overlook this sad message. Keep trying to open our tired eyes, please, a better tomorrow is yours. -Richard

This poem reminds me of the darkness and hailstorms in the mid west of late. When the sun comes shining through it brings with it hope and joy. Lovely Robertina! xxoo
