I stood naked on the edge,

(Cold feet gripping the stony crag),

Peering into the shadowy depths of the abyss ...

With a distant glint of black flame,

It looked back ...

          And smiled.

Sigh. Back to relative obscurity I see. I've tried to warn you. Posting too many poems burns people out. Too bad, cuz this is really kewl. Nice write

(2) It can be discouraging when hard work gets little notice, but understandable, (and I post on FB pages as well). Thanks for not forgetting about me here in the quiet, dusty corner of PS. Blessings. ;o)

Thank you, SOS, it is much appreciated - I have not had time to read and comment on others, (for the most part), for a while now, and knowing well the process that drives these public sites, ("you scratch my back and I'll reciprocate"), I rather expected a big drop off. I'll have more time the first of the year and will get back to it, but until then I'll keep posting as a way to catalog, get a bit of feedback, stay in touch with friends here, and have a little fun with contests ...
