Tangled In Sea Weed

Suffused by wisdom the Buddha reaches out for Atlantis Blows bubbles in vain as they burst at the door of Nirvana And yet he can hold his breeze of a breath for eternity For those precious moment while permanence stays silent When levitation is more than a mind game of wonderment I the mere minion am suffused by vast infinite suffocation Embrace my empty begging bowl and align orange robes On an ephemeral journey far greater than mere destiny Fold loin cloths into buoyant cushions of comforting care For I swim naked in full view of longing far from the crowds Siddhartha does not preach and never claims to have found The philosopher’s stone of ultimate truth for ever and ever And thus when I succumb to rock bottom of meaningful void In caves on corals spiking my scarred skin and scared soul I scratch my past and behind for search of beyond and afar ‘Rest comfortably for a while before you take step upon step Stroke for stroke on your ascent towards surface and core’ But my feet and arms seem twisted in shark infested water The lighthouse of being appears to have lost its beacon of hope And the keeper of time rushes and gushes desperate fear What ifs and the buts of doubt creep into the swell of tides As sure as moonlight and eclipses of sun with no shadow Maybe when grim pirates and dark reapers in glowing disguise Cast off sludge and corrosion and reveal the beauty of rust An anchor will unshackle my heart to offer karma and bliss 09th December 2019

Very enjoyable read! I have always known where I wanted to be but always gone where those I loved wanted to go...and even now, as the currents carry me closer, the undertow seems to surge stronger in a different direction while good old time ticks away, I think I may be learning that un-anchored drifting is quite full of lovely surprises.. :)
