Who is last to be served a meal Who tends to the kids when they fall and squeal Who transports kids like they're on a Ferris wheel .... a mother We live our lives in the fast lane The days whizz past so fast Don’t have time to catch our breath And we hope our good temper will last We wake our kids in the morning Make sure they aren’t late for school Give them breakfast and a well stocked lunchbox Although the Ninja Turtles box may no longer be cool! Then we hurry to our day job and we while away the hours then its a mad dash home to greet the kids Some precious ‘me time’ just isn’t ours Somehow we fit in the shopping And take the kids to social clubs A little down time is so important Spend time with your friends or your hubs So get yourself a trustworthy babysitter Maybe a grandparent or a reliable friend A few hours with no parental responsibilities Some precious ‘me time’ is a real godsend! Firstly congratulations on your win Jan.Next too true all that you have written and with style. The children are our lives but our partners matter as well,so togetherness is important.I have passed the mother and babysitting grandmother stage. Now the grown up grandchildren look after my hubby and myself. I like this write, plenty of food for thought.

I only worked part time and that wasn't until we moved to the Island when son was 2 1/2. I had 5 'part time' jobs that would work around when he was at nursery or my hubby could look after him at night:-) hugs jan xx

Love it Jan. I meditate in my 'me' time, but ever since the birth of my sister's 3d child, life is a lot more noisy. The little one is a week old now, and I love her to bits :) And how are you?

You really nailed it with this write Jan. Who takes time to pamper themselves? I felt that watching a favorite movie was enough for me, late at night when the kids were asleep! I wish this gem had gotten first place...but second place still puts you in the top three which is great! Congratulations my friend! : ) xxoo
