Tickets went on sale to see Gary Barlow
A well loved singer, it will be a sell out show
My hubby was 1600th in the on-line queue
There were no tickets left when he got through
I went on the Internet to see if any were for sale
Yipee, I found a ticket, but my face went pale
The face value of the ticket was £163 pounds
but the price they were asking it just astounds
It was five times the cost of the original ticket
Such intense profiteering, it just isn’t cricket!
Title is a play on words – Gary Barlow was a member of a group called ‘take that’
The venue only holds around 2,000 people so ticket demand was very high and it sold out very quickly. Poetic licence used – hubby didn’t bother staying on line to get the tickets as he knew it would be sold out
* a British phrase - if behaviour is not cricket, it is not honest or moral
