Take Me There, a Prayer

Lord, there are many sounds that I have never heard whispering in the wind There are so many faces never seen and places that I have never been There are beautiful sights waiting for me just over the horizon yet unseen Take me to that quiet place of singing birds by creeks and gentle streams O Lord, my simple prayer is that you take me there and show me where the gentle winds blow. As I dine and recline with never a care, let me breathe afresh that distant air as butterflies stop and stare. O Lord, take me there before my aging eyes grow too dim. Like a place of lightning bugs and crickets way back then; take me there O Lord, before all of me have worn thin. 09172017PS
