Take It with You

Take down yesterday from its framed photograph. Screw yourself back inwards -you’re leaking, spilling your truth away day by day. Take a pic of your dinner, say a prayer over the broccoli. Take the burnt end of the day, twist it around a trembling finger, take a small pill to shrink the nightmares. Take a look at your finger, try to remember what to take with you when you are not going anywhere.
