~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rustling leaves comfort those who see
Past the hills, to psalms from the trees
Past the gentle to grace and peace
Past hopes to the praise that believes
Autumn winds breathe soothing
Past the lonely, to the astonishing
Past the still, to the music in the winds,
Past distraction to love’s temptations
Cornstalks and pumpkins, abandoned
Past the barren gardens, neglected
Past the seas of silence, rejected
Past the lonely words, with protection
Scarlet and gold, tangerine so bold
Past the laughter of heartfelt blessings
Past the restful in tearful expressions
Past the wonder in hearts who ponder
Melodies of stars, reflecting the music
Past the moon’s melancholic, haunting
Past the shadows who whisper, taunting
Past the twinkling through navy skies
Winsome dreams in piercing screams
Past the notorious outburst of trembling
Past the definition of twilight hues
Past the edge of heaven’s sense of truth
Hibernating bear, calm deer, testy coon
Past the echoes of prayers from the woods,
Past gray barns who feed the creatures,
Past wonderous worlds, generous yearnings
Leftover dreams from the hearts who believe
Past stories left untold, never to be sold
Past the decline of rusty dawns, tarnished and worn
Past the reasons for hope to hesitate its fate
Rising on the distant ridges, the sound of thunder
Past the memories, foretold in the spirit’s wars
Past the shame, the disgrace, the rumbling hurt
Past the fears who resonate with a hollow thud
Risking everything that comes before the falling snow
Past the turbulent whispers of a quiet hope
Past the hymns of yearning, the music so calming
Past the seeking of a promise, falling steady, light rain
He captures the spirit’s sinking, the soul’s appreciation
Past the impressive prayers, the praise that shouts,
Past the laughter in the song, the tone of love’s knowing
Past the lingering light from One whose forever alive
Autumn’s knowing, results in nostalgia’s glistening
Past the heart who hears His breath in the dancing leaves
Past the moment who believes He is there in the grief
Past the silence that accompanies me when I can see…
He is more than light, more than hope, more than life
He is the rising of the sun, the settling of a heart
He is the answer to every prayer, the blessing and grace
He is the link between the seasons that reasons…
Without His love, there is no chance of a new life
Without His love, there is no answer, no sacrifice
Without His love, without the love that paid the price
Without His love, there is not one hope for an afterlife!
As the Son sings, the symphony of sunlight,
Autumn’s stories bring the heart insight,
Autumn’s amazing brings the soul an invite…
To believe in the One who makes everything allright!
