Notes About The Poem

Symphonies Of Destruction

The wind blows, wails and cries
Her strength, her rage, on an upward rise
The sky that was clear now is black
Her vengeance, her fury unfolds to attack.

Lands tremble, crack and bends
Destroying all what now offends
Spirals of dust begin to form
Tornadoes marker carries her storm.

The sea joins and matches in rage
Waves rise high on its vast open stage
Surging in might and gaining in power
All in its path, it will now devour.

Thunder roars with all its might
Lightning sparks before her bolts strike
Eyes of the storms glaring down
Her tears condemns the lands to drown.

Symphonies of destruction are synchronized well
Howls, rumbles, pitched whistles they yell
Fear their anger, feel their force
Destroying mankind is now on course.

Terrified, people panic and scream
Their prayers, their pleads, how sorry they seem
She begins to soften and calms down her rage
Suppressing the force of her destructive rampage.

So she gives them yet another chance
To show their change; a new restart
To work together, not for power or greed
What nature gives is for all life living needs.

Not to pollute, or poison or to steal
Each living being has its place in her wheel
All is positioned in her natural order
It's always humans that create the disorder.

Mother Nature's patience is now wearing thin
Her temperature and temper will be rising again
Signs are showing she will not be as forgiven
Taking back control of what freely was given.

Good morning, afternoon, or twilight time, depending on when your bathwater is hot. -Intermission- "This intermission that we take is made for you and for the sake of everyone who needs a break." Ha! I am the first person to write a comment with an intermission. By the way, your poem is like a clash of the Titans. Loved it. Oh, did you know somebody wrote a poem about YOU and posted it today? It's a masterpiece.

A good, much needed post. I’ve noticed the frequency, duration and severity of storms increasing. At this point the global warming theory vs. weather cycle theory is mute. The question now becomes can we do anything meaningful to help ourselves. John

Thank you John. I do feel it is a little to late now. We had time to change. The only thing that is changing is the severity of the weather patterns and its force. Emilia : )

Yes, Man has ruined this great planet, and no matter how powerful we think we are, mother nature is a thousand times more powerful.

Indeed she is Paul. We will never learn and the only thing humans are great at doing is ruining things. Emilia : )
