Symbol
you built me a castle
buried in the sand
standing tall
she smiled proudly
knowing she had done it
and that it would never wash away or fade drifting with the tides
you painted me a rainbow
of all different colors
red orange yellow blue indigo and violet
they were all incorporated
each color added in
hanging in the clear blue sky
you took me to a river
one with a great big waterfall
where the water fell so gracefully and beautiful
scattered over all the smooth boulders scattered all over all the rocks
and you said like our love it would never run dry
you picked me a rose
one so bright and pink
telling me it was a symbol of your love and how much I meant to you
so I cherished it
gave it water and watched it grow
like us day by day it matured
grew bigger
and developed a life of its own....like our love it blossomed lasting forever and always a rose of immortality never dying
I held on to it until the very end.
like I did our love
never once letting go
