Swirling Snowflakes

Flurries of snowflakes swirl down, Magical and mesmerising ~ The world has turned white, Chilly breeze blows through bare branches, Better to stay warm by the fireplace away from the biting cold; When we do step out, The crunch of snow under our feet is welcoming, Careful not to slip on the ice, we enter a shimmering snow sphere, Sweaters, mittens, boots and winter caps guard us, as we go skiing and ice skating, building snowmen and having fun snowball fights, Children create their own snow angels; Darkness falls soon, Black swallows white, Time to go inside, Bidding a hesitant farewell, we enter our safe haven, Standing within the cosy room, we watch through windows ~ Enchanting and enticing Flurries of snowflakes swirl down.

Jo, you have so beautifully described the winter scene. I don't like winter, but I was intrigued by the way you presented it. Lovely writing!
