"swimming In a Dream"

I'm standing in a pool of questions... My feet are barely in the shallow end of preparations... Walking out waist high to feel the twist of deceptions... Now neck high with the taste of water filled with temptations... With no land in sight I make my peace and my declaration... I grab a current not to drown in my own lasting gratification... My eyes open as the sand is my sheets, and my pillow is my salvation... I wake to feel and taste a new day with heart and dedication...

I agree with Joe....I don't even recognize the monorhyme part, getting lost in the words is all I needed to enjoy this great poem. :)

Nice, Michael. Nice monorhyme that doesn't read forced. Nice flow and clear meaning. Good imagery - nice all around write. Joe
