Notes About The Poem

Sweet Torment

Whispers fondling neck and face
in voice promising torment divine
breath caressing each exotic place
bringing sensations along the spine

Hunger drawn from seeking lips
unsated passion kept at length
exploring hands, gentle finger tips
arms holding back sinewy strength

Eyes of desire, how they smolder
looks flaming with tongues of fire
wants and needs, growing bolder
burning torment on blazing pyre

Faint first kiss, scarcely a touch
A beckoning to draw nearer yet
this night when we loved so much
sweet torment we shall not forget

Such a beautiful poem, Lin. The words from your pen could ignite Mt. Vesuvius. You are soooo talented. Wonderful write from an amazing poetess. Thoroughly enjoyed the sweet heat, don't need no sauna after reading this poem. Ty for sharing the love of poetry. Much love to you and yours.

Hi Lin, another excellent write flows from your pen, sensual thoughts painted onto a canvas that does possess the mind. I feel the inner heat rise within me and i remember moments that were locked behind doors in my mind. Now i give these thoughts an airing once more. The power of words. Love and romance sing from your words Lin. The gift of the heart you lay before us.The is a definite seven and a fave. Hugs....Mike. XX

Love has been described as divine, blind, eternal and a multitude of things--but rarely -sweet torment.. Which is strange since it is that in more cases than most ever dare to say or reveal. This is truly an exceptional poem my friend. I enjoyed reading this gem and remembering that time in my young life. A7

Love can be terribly tormenting when it's returned, and even more so when its been lost. Thank you for such lovely comments.
