Sweet Pain

Denied by God
oh, what a sweet pain
a deep stinging treat
an assurance in the rain.
A kiss of denial,
a sweet bitter herb,
a loving embrace as Im kicked to the curb.
A reset button pressed on my behalf,
case closed-no follow up notes to be had.
Running running faster still-
hard stop as i crash into a wall,
now Im still.
Ears ringing, nose bleeding, eyes blinking, tears flow;
Plan B up ahead, Just taking it slow.
Bruises appear all over my body
as denial breaks my bones till im sobbing.
How many more walls must I crash into,
to find the life I was meant to pursue.
