Sweet Darling

Sweet Darling
                       By Elaine Roy

Darling, I see that you’re trying to hide your tears from me
I see the dew on the grass, were the traces of your tears remain
It's shown in the depths of your eyes; as pools of sorrow and pain
Please, let me help you, cast the darkness from thee.
Let my eyes, enroot the light, so you will see all the beauty of your heart, and what it has given me.
See, with your heart and not your eyes.
Let, your pain flow like a river.
Letting it bring you to the banks of my arms; so you can find peace
Darling, I will hold you in my arms, for as long as you need
For my heart will always be yours.
Where each day, I'm blessed to share life's wiring roads.
For life’s storms, will raise and fall over us. It's there I will keep you safe and warm.
Together we can rejoice, as the rainbows shine over us; whispering, “We are the Pot of Gold that forms in each other’s hearts!"
