Surrendering It All
Surrendering it all to You
is like letting go of the world.
It’s like Your love
hitting harder than it ever has—
a freedom in the soul.
With tears in my eyes,
my life laid down for You,
I gave You every part of me,
everything that I am.
My heart, mind, body, and soul
are all Yours to have and hold.
I lift my kids up to You,
to guide them through,
just like You have me.
I know You have them too.
I give You my family—
even the ones who made me feel
like I am nothing,
the ones who tried to destroy
everything You planted
deep inside.
The ones who lied
and tried to break me
even when I was already down—
I give them all to You.
Because it’s You who can change
their hearts,
it’s You who can restore and redeem
everything that was lost.
You’ve done so much for me already—
now it’s time for them to see
that they can’t break
what You have given me.
Chains are falling all around.
From the moment I declared
to follow You,
it didn’t happen all at once.
I still have my ups and downs,
moments of feeling like I’m alone,
or like I’m going to break down.
But the difference is—
I know that Your love
will see me through.
It’s Your love that got me
where I am right now.
Life is hard—
but nothing that I face
will come close to what You have planned for me,
and the love You show me every day.
Nothing else can touch what I feel
in my heart,
just knowing that You called my name
from before I breathed my first breath.
You saved me then—
when the doctor told my mom,
“the choice is hers:
cigarettes or her baby.”
She had the choice,
but You gave her the strength
to choose me.
From before I was born
You had a plan in store for me.
It’s the beauty of what Your love can do.
My life might not have always been easy,
but from before I was born
You gave me strength to face everything,
to not give up,
to always have hope for what’s to come.
Even when it seems
like things won’t get much better—
You are right there,
holding me together.
Your love is the reason
I give everything to You.
