Surrender
the mountains grind to a chalk white dust
as an endless train rolls across our jeweled eye
and the stars scatter in the darkness
time slowly tires then drifts to sleep
while our fatal companion gathers his last soul
before sealing the gate
alone in eternal silence we relive untold stories
and trace forgotten images on our lips
until finally we surrender
and erupt
in a torrent
of galactic splendor
