Superpowers- Powerless

All insecurities that hold me- in a flash are gone completely, I break free I am not powerless or useless, and I am not careless- unless I choose to be - I am not a hero, not even a zero, however. . this I know I am me, powerful as that may be ~ A powerful little scribble ~ Always spoken from the heart Author's Note- Thoughts such as these seem to find my muse at times. Brandy, I love this poem because to me it highlights the need to build up our children. Some raise their children telling them they are better than others, which leaves them unprepared for life’s uncertainties. Others raise their children telling them they are worthless. To me, this poem reflects how parents can raise their children to be balanced, with a strong sense of self worth. As the saying goes, “It is easier to build up a child than it is to repair an adult... Choose your words wisely.”

Exactly!! And the message is clear, we all have self worth, we are not worthless. Ever! This is what I am saying within this poem. You understand my thoughts perfectly. Always be true to who you are.
