Sunset Lullaby
Once when I was young and free,
I embarked and sailed the seas.
Just as my daughters are doing now.
I envy them their youth and vigor.
I used also have an amazing figure.
Like them, but I digress.
Arriving late on Santorini isle,
I opted to stop and stay a while.
Headed directly for the beach.
The sun had just begun to set
when I thought of getting my feet wet.
Having passed over scorching sand.
There was a band playing nearby.
To have a listen I thought I'd lie
on the still warm glistening grains.
Next thing I knew it was pitch black.
Surprised I thought well fancy that.
They must have sung a lullaby.
