Sunrise
Storming through the heavens is the celestial glow
The winter sun makes its appearance
Rising above the obscuring buildings, to illuminate the world
The eyes feel the brightness, sun blinds are drawn
Workers begin their day of toil
Traffic increasing in intensity, choking the highways
Sitting back and relishing the splendour of the morning
Vertical blinds hide the damaging of rays
Creating a beautiful yellow aura
Mirrored windows reflecting the rising sun
Crows dive through the dawn light
Songbirds begin their chorus
Electric trains halt at the station nearby
Depositing and collecting passengers eager to travel
Air horns penetrate the still cold air
Traction motors taking the load
Frost covered roofs are a ghostly white
The grass takes on a similar spectral appearance
Winter has made its presence
