Sunlight
yellow sphere rises daily
illuminating a once-dark world
traveling from east to west rapidly in winter months
when sun’s deprivation finds Earth dwellers in gloomy spirits
longer hours of sunlight
add joy to summer months
warming seas for swimmers
raising flowers from the soil
radiating on verdant fields
kissing golden meadows
a star blessed with life-giving power
by a beneficent Creator
