"Live in each season as it passes: breathe the air,
drink, taste the fruit and resign yourself to the
influence of the earth." Henry David Thoreau
~ ~ ~
Oh dear- our summer's going fast
with August, more than half-way, done.
Each day grows shorter with less sun;
but how we wish this stage could last.
September seems much closer now;
just yesterday, came spring's rebirth.
So soon, the autumn paints the earth
from greens to golds- redos each bough.
And so it goes, each season's stay
is but a gift earth grants in stride.
Embrace the pleasures they provide-
those special joys they bring our way.
