Summer Stunner
I can't operate in this stupid heat,
I see competitions but can't compete,
sweating like an Olympian when in my seat,
I call my friend Damian but his name is Pete.
Sitting in the sun only makes me turn red,
I wake four times a night in my bed,
I can eat toast but I can't eat bread,
I've got as much energy as those dead.
Many people seem to fall in love with the summer,
for me it's a number of months when I feel numb-er,
when the summer ends they all think it's a bummer,
but enough about that isn't this poem a stunner!!
No I admit I don't think it is either,
it's absolute rubbish said my mate called Peter,
ER rhymes are simple and nothing's easier,
the jokes not funny and it couldn't be sleazier.
