Silent reflections fall on my heart
Wonders so tender they remind me
Love is alive all around me, kindness
Smiling through the oaks and pines
Lifting my heart from its musings
Laughter so brilliant it sparkles
Breaks through my sorrow and strife
Coloring my hopes in deep lilac
Providing a sense of assurance
Melting all worry from my yearnings
Whispers of serenity light my thoughts
Singing praises to the Creator of life
Awakening faith filled with grace, thriving
With music sent down from angel’s harps
Arousing my spirit to feelings so treasured
Sunshine delights as it drifts on the sky
Betraying the night with its breathless light
Expressions of joy in waves of pleasure
Flowing across the dawn in lemon yellow
Breathless like a bird who chirps to morning
Lovely dreams in hues of golden glory
Fondle the moon with relief from darkness
As colors of day drive away the nocturnal
Painting love in prayers of wonder and awe
Coasting across the borders of compassion
This is the charming caress of a summer heart
Adorning the affections in devotion and ardor
Compelling elation to reach across the night
Stir the brilliance of moon to close its thoughts
Breathing life into the intensity of sunlight
On the breath of a moment’s inspiration, rain
Like dew on rose or hiding beneath a spider’s maze
Drizzles, pouring out a blessing on those who know
Even during the summer storm, there is opportunity
For kindness that shades the heart in humility
Summer risks being named the one who gives
Beyond its heartfelt joy and unending pleasures
To the heart of those who measure love by thanks
Poured out from the soul who knows that this is
The beginning of a season filled with contentment
