Summer Rain

A gust of wind swirls rustling the morning; scent lingers of oncoming summer rain. Thunderclouds loomed with ominous warning, lighting brightens black distance sky again. Gray, damp, creeping closer, lectures rumbling sounds; pouring rain swells the crops golden grain. Ethereal summer rain, cleanse and cool the earth; heaven's gift, rainbow color pool. 8/25/2017

Just as there is a word for the smell of earth after rain, there should also be one for what you have just described Eve. Beautifully done.

Awe, I am tickled you stop by :) staying inside as the storm hits.. there are a lot of people placing shutters on their windows and sandbags around their homes. I think we will be alright.. I have a lot in faith.... Hugs sweet friend ~*
