Notes About The Poem

Summer Meltdown

the sun melts slowly
a silence falls on the land
an eagle circles
my heart pauses in wonder
seems all so larger than life

There is often an introspective feeling that accompanies the end of day, especially when we take time to appreciate the glory of nature. It can remind us that we are but specks in the universe, Line. There is a special wisdom in this tanka. Lovely! Hugs, carolyn
