Summer Holiday
We're all going on a summer holiday
So sung Cliff in 1963
It all went wrong with Yorkshire's constabulary,
Aided and abetted by the BBC
Sorted by the judiciary.
Some holidays are quiet and peaceful,
Some others are loud and intense,
Some are taken in luxury hotels
Others in wilderness tents
Booze and frolics
on a summer holiday
eating far too much than is good for you
takes a month to recover afterwards
now fifty weeks until the next one's due
with post holiday blues
ooo ooo ooo ooo ooo
with post holiday blues...
ooo ooo ooo ooo ooo
having to look at all of you!
