Summer Heat

Summer, in violent fury,
Heat cuts through skin.
I turn and twist on bed.
My top sheet like a knotted rope.
Bottom sheet, eggs scrambled!

Dear Valsa, the only thing I hate about summer is the severe heat. It makes me gloomy. But I appreciate the dawn and dusk of summer, it's so beautiful and ethereal. Great use of metaphors. Best, Anne
