Great haiku, extreme weather, climate change is quickening its pace, intense temperatures, hot and cold are altering and dictating how we are to live and survive. Scary! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer

Dearest Michelle, the sumptuous summer imagery in your hot and humid haiku is as masterfully creative as it is sensory stimulating. The alliteration with "S" sounds spices the sultry sizzle to excellent effect. Congratulations for your wonderful win in Tania's contest. Warmest wishes, my sweet friend.. ~Susan P.S.. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing such extreme weather, my dear friend..

The Japanese News reports you are NOT simmering, but setting new boiling records! Remember not to use your air conditioner as it requires fossil fuels which only compound the problem . . .Aloha!

Perfect descriptions my friend! Wonderful use of those words that describe HEAT - "sticky skies," "slow simmered sundown." Understand its been a little warm (tongue in cheek) in the great north woods! Stay as cool as possible.

Love sundown when the heat disperses and the air starts to cool. Hope you're not suffering that stiffling heat Michelle. Tom

Thank you, Tom and yes we're going through a horrific heat wave right now, breaking heat records left and right, which is what inspired this poem!
