Sudden Death

My future is right before me, but my past refuses to rest in its shallow grave, the grave I dug trying to be brave, trying to show life that I can move on, and yes, on I moved, but my past deep enough I didn't move, now it killed my future, it died a sudden death, because I refused to take heed, when it was all before me to read, that nature cannot be tamed, just as old habits cannot be chained, but deserve only to be killed.

WOW - this is an amazing, deep, powerful piece about negative things in life that it's so difficult to let go even when we know they are no good for us! Well done, excellent piece, deeply philosophical! Best wishes. Pandita
