Such a Delight
Springtime is the season of beauty and delight.
Flowers of every shape are blooming everywhere,
Observing such a view is a breathtaking sight.
Being one with nature is for filling and feels right.
Scents of roses, lilacs, and daisies fill the air,
Springtime is the season of beauty and delight.
Mama bear tends to cub and he feels alright,
An eagle soars high, I watch but they isn’t aware.
Observing such a view is a breathtaking sight.
Butterfly getting nectar had wings of gold and white.
Sitting under a peach tree, I notice a brown hare,
Springtime is the season of beauty and delight.
Robin perched on a tree limb, to take its flight,
The bird flew and April showers begin mid-air;
Observing such a view is a breathtaking sight.
Basking in the light showers, I had urge to write,
I got wet so I dashed to an abandoned campsite
Springtime is the season of beauty and delight;
Observing such a view is a breathtaking sight.
* If this poem looks a bit familiar it’s because I changed
up a similar poem to make it in to the Villanelle form. Enjoy
