"If you can't explain it simply
you don't understand it well enough"
- Albert Einstein
+ the KISS principle
Listen to poem:
Keep it brief, compact, concise.
Say it precisely, shred excess words.
Use exact simple words, chosen carefully,
pithy and strong to convey what you mean,
with no fluffy stuff or beating around the bush
Short and sweet the aim,
to the point skewered;
sharply focused, no fuzz to confuse.
Avoid coping out by adding weak,
mealy words that betrays
laziness and carelessness.
If you struggle to find the words
to express what you mean,
your uncertainty and imprecision
reveals that you don't really understand the issues.
Its time to think again and work it out.
If you can't explain it simply and succinctly
you don't really understand it adequately.
