Stuck Being Shemp

At one time tobacco was king
        Today it’s cannabis and hemp
Seems they are Moe, Curly and Larry
While tobacco is stuck being Shemp

And so too is it true of taxis
         Whom riders once hailed frequently
Uber and Lyft now rule the ride-hailing roost
taxis deleted ~ like the Confederacy

Words of wit, that rhyme and fit. I'll sit and ponder on them a bit. Times they are a changing. BB

was just thinking about the Three Stooges a couple of days ago. A witty poem about the inevitable obsolescence. (did I really just use that word?) :-)

The Stooges will never die. They'll just nyuk-nyuk their merry way.

Love the Three Stooges reference! Clever and sharp commentary on how quickly things fall out of favor. Poor Shemp... and poor taxis!

Shemp never had a chance against Curly. Plus, he looked too much like Moe Howard. ~ Stooge 'N Alices
