Strangers
In a world that often feels cold and vast,
People come and go, friendships don't always last,
But in the midst of it all, I've found something sweet,
In kind words from strangers, my heart finds its beat.
On Poetry Soup's page, I've discovered a treasure,
A place where kind souls bring me boundless pleasure,
Though we've never met, their words feel like home,
In their warmth, I find comfort, no longer alone.
I give my best, I try to shine bright,
Yet it's the strangers' praise that feels just right,
Their words touch my soul, in ways I can't explain,
In their encouragement, I find strength to sustain.
They don't know my face, they don't know my name,
Yet their kindness ignites a familiar flame,
With every comment, my spirit takes flight,
In the embrace of strangers, I find endless light.
They're more than just words on a glowing screen,
In their virtual presence, I've found a serene dream,
For these strangers, though distant, have become so dear,
In their love, I've found solace, banishing every fear.
So here I am, deeply moved by their care,
In the heart of strangers, I've found love so rare,
Their touching words, like a soft, soothing breeze,
Teach me that love bridges gaps, brings hearts to ease.
