Stranger In the Woods

The many creatures that live and play here, scatter to their homes unseen by me, they know that I am a stranger in the woods, just passing through, but a danger to them. Creatures in the woods don't know, that most of us mean them no harm, only to admire them, so next time you take your stroll, stop and admire them, then move on, but leave your dogs at home. wrote 3-10-11

I'm always on the lookout for the many "creatures" that fill our forests. If we carry no weapons and leave dogs at home, sometimes we can befriend an animal. Rescued a baby owl from a hawk once and that owl stayed in the woods behind my house crooning to me for years. I like the message in this poem as well as the eloquent manner in which you expressed it, James. Thanks for stopping by. Love, carolyn
