Stranded

A single strand across the trail a distance vast considering the size of she who spun so fine a way from here to there. The sun reflects upon a segment small but when I move my head from left to right, the path made ever clear. How does a creature oh so small traverse so great a span and why, oh why do I allow the smallest things to leave me stranded unable to achieve what I set forth to do?

I guess that's why such a small creature (man) spun the world-wide-web. lol.

Oh my, Jeff, I could have written this, but I didn't. I have sat and stared at the intricacies of a web and had the same thoughts. OTOH, a good poem always calls to mind the thoughts of the reader. That's how we relate. Love the pattern of your poem, too.

It's the really long ones, sometimes spanning 15' or more across a trail that amaze me. I guess they climb a tree, let down in the breeze, and blow across to the other side...
