Storm Clouds A-Comin’

Anticipating Autumn brings me joy
The rise of Fall for me came right on time
Bright crimson leaves my favorite by far
But then a hurricane forms in the gulf
I live nearby the Gulf of (what’s it now?)
Our courage tested many times before
We’ll bear the brunt and cross that bridge again

Your blank verse carries a natural, conversational rhythm, moving from the joy of crimson leaves to the threat of a Gulf hurricane. The closing lines bring quiet resolve, balancing autumn’s beauty with the courage to weather another storm.
