Storm and Serenity
You wandered into my life like a morning fog, effortless yet all encompassing. You fit in like the space was waiting for you all along. We see the broken pieces of each other, like torn bark from a tree, but neither run. Instead we each move closer to see better, to see if we can help.
I sit with you so you know you aren't alone & we sift through our pieces together, no matter how sharp. This quiet serenity that we have found in each other, this peace in the eye of the storm... has saved me.
Two souls whose only true desire is to be seen completely, and accepted. Not loved in spite of, not seen as a work in progress.
Seen. Loved. Chosen.
Is as rare to find as blue in nature. You begin to think its only ever a reflection of some unattainable sky.
But now I sit beside undeniable proof. You could go your whole life denying its anymore than a mirage created at some height you will never reach. But it will still find you just the same...
And you will never be more happy to be wrong.
