Stop Stalling My Son
Out of my womb you came
Lifeless there you laid
The room grew still
One breath, was all it took
Stop stalling my child
I chose this one just for you
Your existence was tested
I fought for you from the beginning
Although weak and broken you fought back
One day your purpose will be made known
Stop stalling my kid
For I was chosen just for you
Mother of a King, The President, or the next great Super Hero
You being just you, you are my Hero
Together we will fight side by side
In the midst of trials and adversities
By your side is where I'll stand hand in hand
Stop stalling my boy
He chose you just for me
You aren't perfect neither am I
Every wrong turn, failed attempt and fall on your face,
Is life's teacher molding you into an almost perfect you
In my eyes you will always be as perfect as the first day I met you
Stop stalling my child
He chose me just for you
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised
But I can promise you no matter how many wasted yesterdays
Expected and hope filled tomorrows
Today is your chance to rise above all your fights and prevail
Stop stalling My Son
You were chosen just for me and I for you
