Still Out Here
You might say I’m incognito,
you know as if I’m not even here
Like I’m tucked away in the cut
Waiting on my chance to appear
No one ever seems to notice me
Am I truly that shallow
Always in the mist of the crowd
But only as a shadow
Blank is my appearance
Constantly silent are my words
Why can’t anyone see me
And still my voice goes unheard
I tried hard to make myself visible
They continue to go unaware
screaming from the top of my lungs
Just to let them know I’m still out here
