Still Our Names Call

"still our names call"
our paths crossed such moments we shared
always was it easy to reach out to hold hands
that touch told me all I needed to know
each caress ignited me more than I could show
beyond the years our pearls of promise stand
every heartbeat grew fast and strong
with flowers of love that live for bliss and life
we exist within the power of the moon and sun
through it all still our names call
SkyWatcher - 02-27-17
February is still alive and well

If only I could see in my future, and wish for a promise as strong and beautiful as you describe here, my heart would be filled with peace.

The shortest month.... So nicely done, Lisa - you have an impactful yet easy-reading style, no small thing. Wow - I missed a lot in my younger life due to being scared or not paying attention.

My goodness Doug I am honored by your commentary. Thank you. Don't worry about yesterday just think of today or tomorrow. Get back in the moment now so nothing else is lost. Make sure today isn't lost. Thank you again. I hope I'm deserving of your words.

There is something about this poem that really connects with me, it is beautiful yet so simply written, as if the words came out with little effort, though they still contain a warm and enchanting message that feels comforting. And that last line just touches me in a way I'm not sure I can put into words. Wonderfully expressed Lisa. Your poetic talent shines brightly here.

Oh my gosh Chris you're going to make me cry. Saying thank you for such commentary is insignificant. But thank you honestly. Knowing you are a composer words can not express my appreciation for your intake and thoughts. I have one thing to say. If the last line reaches you than poetry is doing its job. I thank you for that Chris.
