Still Moments

Two still moments etched indelibly in my memory, on the calm threshold of the stalled tranquil time, one draped in the gleaming tapestry of a new dawn, and the other drowned in the gloom of a dark night. While on the silver shore of the shimmering sea, the sunburst horizon splashed the colors of fervor, the luring spectrum weaved the lattice of yearning, you emerged from pearl-laced waves and came to me. We traversed the sculpted landscape of togetherness, sharing from the same cup the dregs of joy and pain. The beats of entwined hearts promised to never part, until the journey of pledge ended at the end of time. Surging clouds erased stardust from the sky one night, as you left trailing the fading trace of the moonbeam, the echo of footsteps dissolved in the sound of silence, after the storm passed by my mind, it was too quiet. - - Subimal, outstanding poem!! I'm staggered by many gorgeous descriptions within. - Pearl laced waves etc. Phrasing absolutely fantastic. Third stanza particularly poinant. Surging clouds erased starlight..... So sad, beautiful. Echo of footsteps dissolved.... I love love love all of this. Should have been Number One. Congratulations, Subimal.!!
