IHi Brian, I have this same composition - or should I say - decomposition in my back yard. Actually - my back-yard is like bird sanctuary. I put a dead blue jay under a pine tree a few weeks ago. Found his feathers there when I was doing some weeding. It still brought tears to my eyes as did this Haiku. Elaine PS Tahnk you for your warm welcome upon my return to the soup.
