Stiletto Blues
She pauses, slender figure poised on
slenderer heels,
five inches of coquetry
ready to duet with
fifty feet of parquetry,
play a wicked staccato on
dinner-jacketed libidos.
Then she pushes open the double door
to find a newly carpeted floor.
