Sthandwa-Deux

Sthandwa sthandwa I’ve loved from afar Sthandwa sthandwa Dissatisfaction slowly grows I say I love you You say you adore me We say a lot of things Day and night Sweet nothings are exchanged Empty words to fill up the void between us But this lips long to kiss And this hands long to hold My fingers cry out To caress, to touch I lay on my back Dreaming about you My mind putting us in various positions The smell, the taste of you The sound of your laughter My mind creates a perfect picture of everything But What’s the point I don’t want a relationship with a figment of my imagination I lay here cold Thinking of how nice and warm it would be to have you beside me But with only empty words between these sheets I love you, sleep well, sweet dreams Sthandwa Sthandwa, sthandwa Perhaps this words do mean a lot Perhaps just the sound of my voice on the phone Is enough to set your heart racing, and bring smiles to your face But I know you feel it too The silence after you drop the receiver The emptiness left behind when the euphoria fades A drug too quickly adapted to Soon the buzz isn’t even there anymore Only the crushing weight of emptiness, the sense of something that’s not And you start to ask Is any of this even real Words… Words, words words Sthandwa… Sthandwa sthandwa I’m sitting here Writing this down Cause I’m not sure how to say the words Sthandwa Sthandwa, Sthandwa Maybe we should let it go…
