Flying In The Sky
And I am slipping into a dream and floating away,
I hear the beat of throbbing music;
and I see deep blue ocean waves,
mist is swelling all around me and I wander lost.
Then- I see a tall man,
he is swaying to the music;
his white shirt is billowing untamed,
eyes closed he reaches out for me.
And we are spinning,
arms outstretched;
I feel like we are flying in the sky,
oh, he is an illusionist, bending and gliding.
I love his dancers body,
He is watching me and smiles as I twirl;
I easily mimic his complicated dance steps,
and I can see he appreciates my perfection.
The mist swirls with the sweetness of oceans,
I am detached from reality;
and I never want to leave but he is fading,
and I am overcome with grief . . .
