Staying True Deep In The Woods
God calls us to follow His way
with no guarantees of a easy road
but one great promise He'll never leave us
no matter the weight, He knows our load
This has always been my experience
but the Lord has been faithfully true
assured of His presence no matter what
standing firm in the woods I would do
When I lost my dear mum so young
I was just 27 felt it so hard
she was my anchor throughout life
adopted me at 6 weeks, my ever sure guard
At that time life felt so dark
my woods felt so deep, bushes all around
but not knowing tomorrow I stood firm
piercing through the darkness felt a certain sound
I kept my mum's memories intact
so many happy times to think about
we were so close to one another
thank the Lord for my mum I would shout
