Staying the Course

Staying The Course
by Curtis Johnson

In my personal pursuit of people,                                                        and the humble places of my past;

In my personal persuasion,                                                            that my future has links to my past;

In my personal and prayerful plan,                                                 that points me toward my destiny;

In my personal practice of principles,                                             that empower me for God’s purpose;

In my pleasant and personal gains,                                                   or in my unpleasant and personal pains;

May I be ever guided in paths of purity and purpose;
stay clear of roads crooked and heavily traveled;

seek challenges beyond those of least resistance;
and never stray from paths God designed for me.
