Statues Crumbling

Statues crumbling

One after another
Representing a history
Now detested..crumble..
Crumbling before forces
Of systemic purging..
These symbols of ego
Rising in past eras
Are seen in their
Disregard for what
Is most valuable in
What We are in this
Moment..We ask:
Should all
Statues of persons
Be allowed to fade..
Allowing the fires we see
To consume the vestiges
Of glorified separation...?
